Hey guys! I know I’m not the only one that is ready for summer. I am counting down the days now! In the meanwhile, I’m going to talk about a fun trip I took to Bainbridge Indiana last summer. Maybe talking about old summer memories and fashion will make this summer come sooner! We will see, haha.
In August of 2020, I went to visit my long-distance friend, Sierra. She lives in Bainbridge Indiana which is about a two-hour drive from my hometown, Jeffersonville. This was my first time going to visit Sierra and my first time going to Bainbridge.
Although it was August, it actually ended up getting a bit chilly in Bainbridge. I packed summer clothes so I had to borrow one of Sierra’s jackets, I really wasn’t expecting cold temperatures, haha. The first day there ended up being the chilly day, thankfully I at least had a pair of jeans to wear. I was in my distressed, embroidered jeans with my black floral bodysuit. This look was great for the end of Summer. I love wearing short sleeves and florals a few more times before cold weather comes in. I started getting into bodysuits recently, I love the trend. I love how easily they can be paired up with a skirt or a pair of pants.

Thankfully, we had warmer weather on our second day there. This was our last day visiting because it was just a weekend trip. We spent our last day taking pictures together before it was time to head back home. On this day I wore my pink striped crop top with my mustard yellow corduroy skirt. I was unsure about how these two pieces would look together at first but I loved the look as soon as I tried it on. The colors of this outfit are perfect for transitioning into fall.
Although it was a short trip, I had an amazing time and I was thankful to see Sierra. I Can’t wait to go back again make more memories there. The biggest thing that stood out to me about Bainbridge is how tight-knit the town is. Everyone seemed to know each other. We went to a backyard concert with Sierra and her parents, all the neighbors nearby were there talking to each other like friends. I have never seen anything like that in my hometown. It was very cool to see how different things can be in such a small town. Thanks for reading! See you next time!
Hey all! Happy January. I hope you are having a great start to the year. I have been so excited to share this fun project that I did with my friend, Salena. I let her choose my entire wardrobe every day for a week. It was so much fun and very interesting to see how her style differs from mine. For the whole week, she dressed me using my clothes from my closet.
Processed with VSCO with al1 preset
We started the project on a Monday, a workday for me. On Monday, she dressed me up for work in a pair of dark gray leggings, a rose and skull patterned v-neck tee from Lularoe, dark brown Rocket Dog booties, a maroon-colored headband, pink ball earrings, and a heart-shaped necklace. This outfit was comfortable but also dressy enough to wear to work. I would call it a comfy business casual look.

On Tuesday, my friend dressed me up in more of a soft look. She started with a simple pair of black leggings and paired it with a light pink dress top. She added cute gray flats, a light-pink pearl headband, and the pink ball earrings from Monday. This look is very sweet and girly; I absolutely loved this look. My personal style tends to vary, but a nice girly outfit is one of my favorites. Her pick for this day pleased me.
Processed with VSCO with al3 preset
Salena chose a more simplistic workday look for me on Wednesday. She put me in a pair of light-gray dress pants and paired them with a green moose printed v-neck tee from Lularoe. She accessorized this look with navy blue Keds. This outfit doesn’t have much bling but it still looks stylish, I think simple looks are one of the best styles! The color scheme of this look also gives off rustic vibes.
Thursday’s outfit matched my own style. Salena chose a Lularoe Amelia sundress with a pink rose and polka dot pattern. The dress was paired with some white banded sandals and a peach-colored scrunchie. This look is very sweet and summery. I love dresses, they are my go-to clothing item so I was very excited to wear this outfit. I love the versatility of dresses; you can look dressed up, casual, cute, they work for just about any style. I felt cute all day in this outfit.
Friday’s outfit was the most casual so far, Salena put me in a bulldog patterned tee shirt, blue jeans, and dog patterned Toms slip-on shoes. This was a great outfit for casual Friday at work, it is also a fun look. Dogs are my favorite animals so I was super excited to wear this outfit.
Now it’s time for the weekend! Saturday’s outfit was a lot of fun. It happened to be on the day I was going on my first ghost tour at Waverly Hills, some of you may remember my blog post about that night. For my ghost hunting night, she dressed me up in some maroon distressed shorts, a “Stranger Things” tee-shirt, a light zip-up jacket, and my black Converse. This was a great look for a night of ghost hunting. Dark colors are my favorite clothing colors.
Lastly, we have Sunday. This was outfit was chosen for me to wear to church. I was in a heathered rusty orange casual dress, brown tie-up sandals, and a belt to go over the dress. I loved this outfit so much and the colors reminded me of fall; my favorite fashion season.
Overall, Salena did a great job dressing me for the week and it was fun to try out her style choices. After the whole week, I learned that she typically goes for a casual style and she likes to dress comfortably. Thanks for reading, stay tuned for the next post!
Hey all! I hope you had a spooky and fun Halloween. This Halloween was perfect because it was on a Saturday and a full moon! What a rare Halloween! This Halloween was also perfect because my friends and I got together and dressed up as Disney Villains. Every Halloween is unique for my friends and me because we get together and do a new costume theme every year. We have been keeping up with our costume theme tradition for six Halloween’s now.
2015 was the first year of our tradition. For our very first year, we dressed up as the band “Kiss.” My friends became inspired to dress up as Kiss when they had been working on a project for school earlier in the year. For their project, they had to create a video. They dressed up as members from Kiss in their video. We decided that when Halloween came, we would all dress up like Kiss and go full out with the makeup and hair. The friends who participated in the Kiss costume was my now husband, Rex, my friends Cindy, Harrison, and myself. Our first group costume inspired us to keep trying a new costume theme every year.
In 2016 Rex and I decided to do a couples costume. We dressed as Jack and Sally from our favorite Halloween movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Although we didn’t do a group costume in 2016, this was the first year of our annual Halloween party. As you can see, we did full face makeup for Jack and Sally. 2016 was also the first year that we discovered Spirit Halloween and bought full costumes. Now we visit the store multiple times a year during Halloween time!
The next year in 2017, we did our first large group costume. For our group costume, we dressed up as the Addams Family, my favorite theme that we have tried. I was so excited about this theme because The Addams Family is one of my favorite shows. I dressed up as “Morticia Addams,” while Rex dressed up as “Gomez Addams.” The rest of the group featured my sister Ally as “Wednesday Addams,” our friend Levi as “Pugsley Addams,” our friend Taylor as “Grandmama,” our friend Brayden as “Uncle Fester,” My brother in law Ethan as “Lurch.” and lastly, our friend Cindy as “Cousin It.” Cindy even made her costume herself! We all had full costumes and makeup for the Addams Family, you can see in the photos.
Halloween of 2018, Rex and I were back to doing another couples costume. This year we went as Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask from the anime Sailor Moon. This costume theme was mostly my idea because Sailor Moon was my favorite show as a child; I always wanted to dress up as Sailor Moon at least once. We bought full costumes for this theme; I did makeup to go with my look.
Last year in 2019, we were back in a big group for our costume theme again. This theme is my second favorite after the Addams Family. We all dressed up as characters from the TV series Stranger Things. This theme was so fun to try out; we had a blast posing for pictures in these costumes. This group featured Rex and I as Robin and Steve, Ethan as Alexei, Levi as Murray, Trisha, Salena, and Taylor as three different Eleven’s, Marcus and Sofia as Hopper and Joyce, Ally as Max, and Cindy as the Demogorgon. Every one of us tried to get full costumes; some of us even brought props.
Now for 2020, Some of you may have seen my Instagram photos from October that our theme this year was Disney Villains. Dressing as Disney Villains is something I have always wanted to try, as did everyone else in the group. I dressed as Maleficent, then Rex as a male version of Ursula. In the group picture above, you can see all of the other villains that our friends dressed up as. This year everyone tried to get a full costume again while some of us did makeup as well. We felt like real Disney Villains that day while we had a blast doing our photoshoot. If anyone noticed, I tried to look like the live-action Maleficent rather than the cartoon version.
I’m very excited to see what next year’s theme could be. It’s crazy to think of all the different costume themes we could try in the future. Of course, we will keep doing the costume tradition for a long time. Happy Holidays! Thanks for reading, until next post.
Hello everyone, happy November! Halloween was a couple of weeks ago, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to get spooky. This post is all about my very first trip to the haunted Waverly Hills Sanatorium.
You may have never heard of Waverly Hills before. I’ll start by explaining the history of Waverly. Waverly Hills opened in 1910 in Louisville, Kentucky, as a tuberculosis hospital. The Louisville area had an outbreak of tuberculosis cases staring in the early 1900s. There were so many cases that they had to build a large building just for treating tuberculosis patients. The hospital stayed open until 1961 when the cure for tuberculosis was found. Shortly after closing as a tuberculosis hospital, Waverly Hills opened back up and became a nursing home. The nursing home was called Woodhaven. Woodhaven took care of mostly dementia and other mentally ill patients. Woodhaven ended up shutting down in the early 1980s due to supposed patient abuse and low funds. After Woodhaven shut down, the building was left abandoned for years. Eventually, the building was bought and used for paranormal investigation tours after realizing that it was very haunted. The number of deaths in Waverly Hills is unknown. despite not knowing the exact number, Waverly is one of the most haunted buildings in the country.
My parents started going to Waverly Hills when I was a kid, probably not even ten years old yet. At the time, I wasn’t old enough to go with them. I remember they would always come home and talk about the things they heard or saw at Waverly. Hearing all the stories as I grew up is the main thing that sparked my interest in the paranormal. I was so excited when I bought my ticket earlier this year; I could finally experience my first ghost tour at Waverly Hills.
On the day of the tour, I met with my group of friends that were coming with me. We stayed together hanging out all day, even though we didn’t have to be at Waverly until midnight that night. Despite how excited I was, I was feeling a bit nervous before the tour. I was concerned that I might freak out if I actually saw a ghost, haha. Even still, the fear wouldn’t stop me from going on the tour and marking this off of my bucket list.
When we arrived at Waverly Hills at midnight, I was still feeling anxious, but I was excited to get started. We got checked in at the gate, it was time to go inside. After waiting in the lobby for a few minutes, our tour guide came in to get us started. The tour guide split us all into two groups for the night in which I got separated from my dad and sister. Thankfully, I was in a group with all of my friends, although I was unable to stick with my family. Each group would be touring a different floor for one hour and trading off throughout the night.
My friends and I got sent to tour the third floor first. Knowing that we had to start on the third floor made me more nervous because I heard that it was the scariest floor. We hesitantly made our way up the stairs to the third floor. As soon as we made it up the stairs, I looked down the long hallway and saw nothing but darkness. We were on the third floor for about thirty seconds when already, a rubber ball rolled out of a nearby room towards my brother in law. He was the first one to start screaming, obviously, haha. After that incident, we were all freaked out and huddled together while walking down the hallway. We may have even heard a door shut somewhere behind us in the hallway. A few minutes later, our tour guide heard us getting scared and screaming, oops haha. He had to tell us not to be afraid and to stay calm. Not that easy, but we stayed quiet after that.
I brightened the photo to see the figure easier.
The remainder of the night went smoothly and it was the best time. After being inside for the night, the fear went away, but excitement kicked in. Now I will get to some of the big highlights that happened that night. On the fourth floor, some of us mysteriously started feeling a little sick. Some of us had a slightly nauseous feeling. Our tour guide did tell us that something like that commonly happens in Waverly. On one of the floors, I can’t remember which, we saw a balcony door open on its own. Something like that may have happened because of wind, but who knows, maybe it was paranormal. We heard some questionable sounds throughout the night, whispers, thuds, and more. We also saw shadows and things passing through the hallways that made us wonder if it was real or imagined. I even captured a picture with what looks to be a ghost-like figure. I drew a circle around the figure, in case anyone has trouble seeing it!
Overall I had a great experience at Waverly and I witnessed a large amount of activity. After my tour at Waverly Hills, I believe that it is a haunted place. I plan to visit Waverly Hills again in the future because I had such a blast on my first tour. Whether you believe in the paranormal or not, I hope that you enjoyed this post. Have a safe November! Until next post.
Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a wonderful autumn. I love warm days, but I’m already looking forward to autumn-like weather! Before I jump into autumn, this post is about my fun summer trip to Holiday, Florida. I will be covering my vacation outfits, must-see places in the area, and my fun adventures. “Holiday” isn’t a very well known name in Florida; it is a suburb of the well known “Tampa.” Now that you have an idea of where it is, it’s time to dive into the details of the trip!
I’ve been to “Holiday” so many times now that I’ve lost count of how many times I went. I don’t go there just for vacationing; it’s where my mom lives. I consider it to be my second home. My mom has lived here for a little over two years now; ever since then, I take trips to see her as often as possible. My mom does her best to visit us here in Indiana as well. Although I mainly go to Florida to visit my mom, I adore the area and the beautiful beaches. I always have a great time here and look forward to coming back.

My younger sister is almost always with me on trips to Florida, as she was for this trip. Our first day there; was more like our first night. On the evening of June 26th, we headed to the Louisville airport at 7:00. For my airport outfit, I went with a pair of jean capris, a flowy floral top from “Pink Lily Boutique,” and tan sandals. This look is ideal for flying because it’s comfortable enough for the plane but also fun and summery for Florida. It is known as the sunshine state! The photo above is outside in front of the car before going to the airport. I went ahead and got the shot before having to put a mask on at the airport. After waiting at the airport and boarding the plane, we ended up landing in Saint Petersburg around 10:45 at night. With us arriving so late, we didn’t have time for activities, so we headed straight to Mom’s house. Once at her place, we finally got to meet her adorable new labradoodle puppy named Maisy! Maisy is also pictured above.

On day two, we were ready to have fun on our first full day! Today’s destination was Honeymoon Island, State Park. Honeymoon Island was always one of my favorite beaches, especially when we first started coming here. Honeymoon Island was the very first beach I went to in Florida about two years ago. A little fun fact about Honeymoon Island; Marvel movie, “The Punisher,” was filmed here! There is a dog beach here as well! Today we took Maisy to her first-ever beach trip on the dog beach. Dogs love to relax in the sun too! She loved the beach and even got cozy in a lounge chair on the sand. Now onto looks, today I kept it simple with a pair of distressed jean shorts and a tank top. Yes, that is caveman Spongebob on my tank, haha! It was a hot and sunny day, so shorts and a tank seemed like the right way to go. Honeymoon Island is definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area. It’s a beautiful park and there’s plenty of beach area to enjoy!

The next day was spent at my absolute favorite beach, Sand Key Beach! Sand Key is attached to Clearwater Beach, it’s less crowded because Clearwater is the more popular side. Sand Key is still just as beautiful as Clearwater. We spent the whole day here, relaxing on the sand and going out into the ocean. This beach is my favorite because it’s never overcrowded and it has gorgeous white-colored sand that almost looks like snow. In the photo above you can see my cute two-piece leopard-print swimsuit from the Pink Lily Boutique. I have been all about leopard print recently, this is my favorite swimsuit and I will be linking it below!
After a relaxing day at Sand Key Beach, we were ready for a fun day of shopping! A day full of shopping is just as therapeutic as the beach! I think we all like to treat ourselves sometimes! Today my sister and I would be shopping with our stepbrother while our mom worked. Our first shopping destination was Clearwater Mall. I was very impressed with this mall because it’s full of so many stores and restaurants, more than I could keep up with. There is even a movie theatre in this mall, much bigger than my hometown mall in Indiana! We checked out a decent amount of the stores and went to the food court to have some soft pretzels for lunch. I left the mall with some fun goodies! I’d bought some candy, a clearance tee shirt, a cute wallet, and a recipe calendar. After the mall, our next stop was the Sponge Docks. The Sponge Docks is located in Tarpon Springs Florida. The Sponge Docks shopping center is more of a tourist area. If you do visit Tarpon Springs this would be the place to go for souvenirs. One of my favorite purchases at the Sponge Docks is the scented bar soaps with scrubbing sponges. The sponges that come with soap are real sponges from the ocean! After checking out the soap we roamed around some more to see what other stores we could find. It wasn’t until this recent trip that we discovered a small music shop in the Sponge Docks that I loved! Music is one of my biggest loves so I had a blast looking through all of the CD’s, I even found a Collective Soul CD that I ended up buying. If you are a music fan of any kind I recommend checking out this little local business! The name of this cool little shop is, “Vinyl Vibes CD Shop.”

Although the last day is pretty sad, it doesn’t mean the fun is over yet! Today we would head to Howard Park Beach to enjoy our last day out in the sand and sun. I was back in my favorite leopard print swimsuit, wearing my embroidered blue sundress from the 1015 Store. In the pictures, you can see the clear blue sky on that beautiful day. You can also see the full dress in the photo of me sitting down on a ledge. Howard Park is a very relaxing beach and it’s a great place to spend the whole day. Being able to relax on the beach made for an amazing last day on the trip.
The next morning it was time to head straight to the airport right when we woke up. As much as I love getting back home to the rest of my family and friends, leaving is never easy. I don’t know what it was about this recent trip, but this was the saddest I had ever felt about leaving. Even after getting back home that afternoon I still felt affected by those emotions. That experience helped me to learn that sometimes we feel more emotional than other times. I also learned that it’s okay to feel that way. Eventually, I would heal and see my mom again.
This visit was much needed and I enjoyed every moment. I am grateful for all the memories I made and that I will get to return again and again. I hope this has inspired you to visit the Tampa area and gave you some fashion inspiration! Looking back on this trip brings a smile to my face and warms my heart. Remember to always have fun and embrace your emotions! Thanks for reading, as always stay tuned!
Hey guys! I hope you are having a wonderful summer so far. Recently, I had the idea to show off my favorite pajamas and lounge clothes. Some nights, I like to grab a tee shirt and shorts to relax in, nothing too fancy. Although they’re comfy, any old shirt and pair of shorts won’t always match! Today, I’m going to show off three matching pajama and lounge outfits from my closet. These looks will have people’s attention if you’re spending the night with a friend, or they’re nice if you want to look chic while relaxing at home. I’m sure we all have our days when we’d rather stay in our cozy clothes than get dressed up!

In the image above, you can see my favorite pair of pajamas. My favorite thing about this set is the crop top! It makes me feel cute and confident, even when sitting at home. As you can see, it has Care Bears on it! This adorable matching set is my go-to for sleepovers because it’s fun to show off! I found this set at Hot Topic. It was so cute that I couldn’t resist buying it! I will post the link to these pajamas below if you want a pair of your own!

This outfit is something I paired together and did not come together in a set. These comfy selections feel warm in colder months. The apparel you see here is simple and looks perfect together. The bottoms are a pair of Lularoe joggers. I love these because they look cute, girly, and make a cute pajama piece. These joggers would be a nice and comfy choice for a girl’s night! I paired a solid gray long sleeve shirt with them. Although my hair is down in the picture, I think a messy bun would make this look even cuter!
The last set is the simplest of the three, and it is another pair that I put together myself. This outfit is my favorite for hot nights when I want to stay cool. I paired a floral tank top with a basic pair of purple shorts. I thought this was an effective pairing because the floral pattern and purple shorts give the outfit a girly look. Like the others, this outfit is cozy and comfortable. I feel much better when I can lounge in my comfy clothes and know I look cute at the same time! One addition I made to this outfit are the super soft slippers! I love these slippers because they match with nearly anything and they’re extra comfortable. I will be linking the slippers below as well!
Relaxing at home in my lounge clothes is one of my favorite ways to unwind! I love them because they keep me feeling cozy, but also in style. I hope you feel inspired to put on your favorite lounge clothes and relax! Thank you for reading, stay tuned for next post!
Hey guys! It’s been a while since I’ve posted, it feels great to be writing again. I wanted to show you all a pink dress shirt that I ordered from Amazon a while back. The top is super versatile and simple, but also cute.
Honestly, this is one of my favorite tops. It is long-sleeved and has a lightweight, almost sheer material. This top works great in almost any kind of weather because the material is so light. It also has two ribbons by the neck to tie a bow. I think the bow gives it a cute touch. I will share three different outfits that I put together with this elegant top!
Processed with VSCO with s1 preset
I have three different outfit combinations that I typically wear with this shirt. This first outfit is a simple look. I love wearing this top with a simple pair of blue jeans. I consider this to be a casual, everyday look. When I don’t want to appear dressed up, this is a great option to keep it simple.
Processed with VSCO with fp1 preset
Outfit two is more of a business casual look. I would recommend wearing this outfit to work or a meeting. I paired the top with some gray dress pants and blue patterned flats. I love wearing blue flats with this outfit because they add an extra pop of color with the pink top. It is one of my favorites to wear to work. I love that this outfit gives the top a professional look. It shows just how versatile this top is because the first look is casual.
Processed with VSCO with fp1 preset
My last outfit is a dressy but fun look. I think this combination would look great at a party or formal event. I tucked the top into a black leather skirt. I’ve learned that tucking in shirts can give a more fitted look to your waist. This outfit would work great with a pair of flats or heels. I think this is the cutest of the three combos. It is a fun outfit but also formal.
Those three outfits are what I most typically wear with the top. If you want this top for yourself, it’s only 26.49 on Amazon! It comes in so many different colors if pink isn’t your favorite. The top also comes in a short-sleeved option. I will post the link at the bottom of this page if anyone wants to check it out. Thank you all for reading and supporting me. Stay tuned for new posts in the future!
Hey everyone, In this post I’ll be sharing an overview of my most recent cruise. The cruise was in December of 2019, aboard the “Carnival Sunrise.” The Sunrise was a big ship compared to the first cruise ship I was aboard. “Carnival Paradise” was my first ship. This most recent cruise I was on is definitely my favorite of the two. I say it’s my favorite because a bigger ship means more fun things to do. Another big reason would be that this was my first time seeing the Bahamas. Right now, I can say that the Bahamas is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. This trip was about four months ago, but I still think about it almost daily!
Me on the back deck of the Sunrise.
The Sunrise sailed off from Fort Lauderdale for our five-day cruise to the Bahamas. I had my mom, sister, stepdad, and stepbrother as my cruising crew. They also took my sister and me on our first cruise back in 2018. We had three destinations in the Bahamas. Our ship would be stopping at Princess Cays, Nassau, and Freeport. All three ports were stunning, seeing it in person is better than photos. I know for sure I would love to go back to the Bahamas again someday.
First, I’ll go over the different things you can do on the ship for those who don’t know. I’ll start this off with food. There is always so much food on a cruise. Many of the food options are buffets. You can also find sit-in restaurants and cafeteria-style lines. Some of the food is even available 24 hours a day! Pizza, ice cream, and room service meals are available at any time! Both times that I have been cruising, I know I ate more than I should have, haha. A majority of the food on the boat is free! It’s hard to pass up all those snacks when you don’t have to pay for them! My favorite dining option on the cruise was anytime dining. Anytime dining is the best place to be for dinner every night! You get to go to dinner whenever you choose! There are no set schedules and rushing to get ready for dinner. On the sunrise, we had an amazing team of waiters! we requested our team every night for dinner. Our waiters were very friendly and they remembered us all by name. They are with us in the big group photo below. When you go to the anytime dining restaurant, you get a three-course meal every night. Each person gets to choose their appetizer, main dish, and dessert. Everyone in your family can eat different things on the same night and be happy with their choice! When it’s time to order dessert, a must-have is the Carnival melting chocolate cake! It’s like a melt in your mouth lava cake, yum. Another fun addition to anytime dining is formal dinner night. Every Carnival cruise will have a formal dinner night. For formal dinner night, everyone is to wear formal clothing in the dining room. It is really fun to get dressed up and have a nice, fancy dinner for a night! I’d say I made it pretty clear that are tons of eating options on the ship. Other than eating, you can do so many more things. You can go to comedy shows, go to trivia games, relax out on the deck, play in the arcade, and much more! The Sunrise even has some extra features that we did not have on the first ship. There is a movie screen above the pool, a foosball table, a fun obstacle course, and a few more fun additions! Also I love seeing the towel animals. They are a Carnival tradition!
Finally, I will move on to the ports. Our first stop was in Princess Cays. Princess Cays was for sure my favorite of the three ports. Princess Cays took my breath away; it was stunning! When we arrived, a shuttle boat took us over to the island. It took us directly to the beach. A huge plus was that the beach was free! Everything on the beach here was free because Carnival owns part of the island. We spent all of our time here on the beach. Staying on the beach here is very worth it! Overall, Princess Cays was my favorite because of its stunning beauty. I fell in love with the crystal blue water and soft sand. The pictures below are of the beautiful Princess Cays. If I could have stayed on this island I totally would have, haha!
The day after stopping in Princess Cays, we were in Nassau. Nassau is the capital of the Bahamas. This island was unique and very beautiful, as well as Princess Cays. Port Nassau is full of cute gift shops, pretty beaches, and palm trees. I even found a “Hard Rock Cafe” there. I love collecting “Hard Rock Cafe” shirts, so it was an exciting find! One unique thing about Port Nassau is that you can see the Atlantis hotel on Paradise Island from the ship. You can also see a little lighthouse right at the tip of the island. Below are pictures of our time in Nassau!
After an adventurous day in Nassau, we had a fun day at sea before stopping in Freeport. Even though we don’t go to any ports on this day, I love having a day at sea! I love the sea days because that’s when you get a chance to explore everything on the ship. On this day, I was able to fit in so many fun activities! I went to play “Freinds” trivia. It was the first time I had gone to a trivia game; I had so much fun with it! I relaxed in the sun on the back deck. The back of the boat has always been my favorite place to sit. It is very relaxing to watch the water as we sail away. I enjoyed some time in the hot tub and the pool. I even watched a bean bag toss competition out on the deck! I enjoy the sea days just as much as the port days. The days at sea are a great chance to try out anything you want on the ship.
Beautiful boat sunset
After our day at sea, it was time for Freeport. Freeport was the most unique of the three ports. This time, we didn’t have to shuttle out to the island. The ship stopped right next to the land on the port. Freeport looked like an industrial area, but there was a lot of fun shops and restaurants. Although it had an industrial look, it was still a beautiful port. I even bought two dresses from the mini shops. I will have to show them to you all on the blog soon! Shopping was the main attraction in Freeport. I could walk around all day looking at their shops! Our day in Freeport was a chillier one, but we still had a blast!
I enjoyed every moment of this cruise. I was so sad when it was over and time to go home! If you have never gone on a cruise, I highly recommend that you try one! I would have to say that cruising is my favorite vacation activity. Even after just two cruises, I am already hooked! I already have my next cruise booked for December 2020 on the Sensation. The next cruise in December is for my dad. It was my dad’s Christmas gift from my sister and me. It will be my dad’s first cruise. Maybe now he will be hooked to cruising too! I am so excited to take him and see how much fun he has. I know he will love it. If you have been on a cruise I would love to hear your stories! If you have any cruising questions, ask away! Thank you for reading, stay tuned for my next post!
I just wanted to send a message to everyone here at the end. Currently, cruises are being canceled due to the coronavirus. It is sad to know that so many people have had to cancel. I hope that this virus dies out soon and the cruise ships can sail again. I hope all of you are safe and staying home. Thanks for your support!
Hey guys! I’m excited to say that this is my first blog project! I put together a different outfit to go with my olive green Lularoe leggings every day for a week to show how versatile they are.

Here is day one; my Sunday outfit. With this look, I was going for something that you can wear to church. This outfit could also work for a fun event like a concert or a party. The floral dress is good for adding color to the outfit and it matches well with the leggings. I added some heeled black booties and a cardigan to pull the look together. The sweater and boots are an excellent option in colder weather. If you wanted to wear this outfit in warmer weather, I would go with either a pair of flats or a short-sleeved cardigan. If you wanted to, you could get rid of the cardigan altogether.

Up next, we have day two; my Monday outfit. I see this as a more elegant look that would be an appropriate outfit for work. The white lace shirt is what gives this outfit a more graceful vibe and it pairs great with the green leggings. I chose cheetah print flats since they pair nicely with the olive green color on the leggings. The flats also add to the refined vibe of this look. Another big plus to cheetah print is that it adds a bit of fun to the outfit. I always like to have some fun with all of my looks!

This is day Three; the Tuesday outfit. I think that this look would work for a weekend out, a day with friends, or any laid back kind of day. Overall, this is a pretty simple look but works great with the leggings. The black combat boots and jean jacket add a smidge of edginess to the outfit. If you don’t want an edgy touch with this outfit you could swap out the combat boots with a pair of flats or something that you prefer. Anything works if you love how it looks!

Here I have day four; Wednesday. My goal with this outfit was to make a simple, everyday look. This look could work for being at home, going to work, going out, or any laid back event. I chose a simple cream-colored sweater to match with the olive leggings and a pair of tall brown boots. I went with all neutral colors to accompany the leggings.

Now for day five; Thursday. I wanted to put together a cozy look for this day. I think this look would be ideal for fall and winter. I went with a simple gray shirt to go with the leggings. I added a pair of light brown boots and a big, cozy, light brown sweater. I think all of the neutral colors pull the outfit together very well. If you can’t tell, I love neutral colors!

Continuing with the week, we have Friday up next. With this look, I wanted an outfit with some layers. I chose a rust-colored corduroy skirt because I think the rust color goes very well with the olive green on the leggings. The color of the print on the white shirt matches well with the skirt. The print on the shirt also adds a bigger pop of color into the outfit. I also loved the look of the gray heeled boots with this outfit. A gray jacket or cardigan could also be added to this look for colder weather.

Last but not least here is day seven, the Saturday outfit. I wanted this one to be an edgy but casual style. The ripped jeans and band tee gives this look a more casual, but stylish vibe. The flannel shirt is a good addition for colder weather. The tall black boots add an edgy vibe to the outfit as well. I incorporated the olive leggings into this outfit by putting them under the ripped jeans. You can see glimpses of the leggings under the holes in the jeans.
That finishes my week of pairing up with olive green leggings. I had so much fun creating these outfits with different styles and vibes. I’m excited that I could share just how versatile a pair of olive green leggings can be. Maybe you will be inspired to go find a pair of your own! Thanks to everyone for reading! Stay tuned for the next post!
Hey everyone! Now that I’ve gotten things started, I want to tell you how the name Abby Style was born. When I was brainstorming names for the blog, I had a big list of ideas written down. I spent a lot of time thinking about each name. There was one particular name on the list that had more personal meaning to me, that name was Abby Style.
Abby Style may sound like a simple name, but it started when I was just a little girl. When I was about elementary school-aged, I started drawing fashion designs just for the fun of it! So my love for fashion started at a young age. Eventually, I made so many designs that I decided to make a name for my little fashion line. That is how Abby Style was born.
I created fashions for a few years during my childhood. I spent a lot of my free time drawing with my sister when we were kids. Once I got older, I started drawing less but I still never lost my love for fashion!
So that’s the history of Abby Style. I felt it was an appropriate name for my blog because that is where it all started. It’s an original name and I want it to stay with me. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more posts!
